The New Year’s Eve 2010 Fireworks at the Embarcadero is free, of course, and is expected to draw upwards of 200,000 people, despite the forecast of not so great weather. Remember, this celebration is also alcohol free, so fill up before you hit the streets. The crowds will ring in the New Year near Mission Street around the Ferry Building, with the 15 to 20-minute midnight fireworks display over the waterfront, launched from barges located 1,000 feet out in the bay.

WHAT’S THE DEAL: Free New Year’s Eve Fireworks at the Embarcadero.
