wanna be quilter

I am so in love with the mini quilt movement I have been seeing on many of the momma blogs I follow.  It makes me want to quilt.  Of course the first time with my sewing machine I had a bit of trouble...



But since then I have made a few items and I am really loving it. The next idea I have is to make a mini verison of this quilt :

Kathy Doughty's 'Avalon' pattern from Doughty and Sarah Fleike's book Material Obsession

I know I just gotta get started.
