What time of day do you work out?

Are athletes more efficient in the morning, doing the same work but with less effort, as measured by a lower heart rate?

What time of day do you workout?
I find that I feel i do my best during a mid-day workout. Everything in my body is warmed up but I am not so tired as I am in the evening. Especially during this time of year When the days are so short.
